Hispanic professional society & diversity job fairs at NSHP.org

Hello Everyone,

My name is JP Garcia. I am submitting my first novel to 100 publishers who are known to buy first timers. The title of the novel is: The End of Rain. Writing, editing and receiving feedback from well trusted resources has taken 15 months. Hopefully, if a publisher picks it up we will see the novel in stores about in October.

JP I hope very much with all my heart that your dream comes true. But do not give up keep on trying and submit it to other people. If you need to make some money so you can make your dreams come true. You can leave me a message I have my own Franchise and I can show you how to build a business that will help you get to any kind of publisher in the country. Who know's you might be able to buy their publishing company. I would love to see that happen for you just do not give up on your dreams. Buy the book the Secret and read it until you are sick of it.

Sincerely
Sara Bajger

Hola JP,

I wish you "muy buena suerte" in your publishing foray. I was where you are almost four years ago and believe me, it is not an easy path. Stay determined. It takes a lot of "ganas" because rejection is a normal occurrence for every first-time author. You might also try finding an agent for your novel. I would recommend attending writers conferences as well. That's how I met my agent and after a long ordeal was finally picked up by a publisher. This took nearly two years. If you get a chance, check out my author's site: www.RaulRamos.com

Wow this is great, I will be praying for you on this. I love to read and write so much, I am back in school online, and pray that one day too I can and will publish my own book someday. Keep us posted.

Thank you for the prayers.

UPDATE: I am currently seeking an agent. This alone is work in itself because there are many agents, but only few who accept first time writers. Also, you have to follow their requirements or they will not look at your manuscript. Patience and determination is the key!
NOTE: I am half-way through writing of my second novel, "A Fish Lost in the Surf." This book will be completed by March 2009.

Congratulations and good luck JP. It is true, you will need patience and as my grandmother would say "Con paciencia se gana el cielo"

Wow! That was nice of you to share your grandmother's quote. Thank you.

UPDATE 11/25/08: Good news! A literary agency has expressed interest in reviewing my manuscript. I am way stoked! Fortunately, I have had my manuscript professionally edited by a well know company in the literary business. I am ready!!

I have a question: Where and how did you start doing your search for an agent? If it was on internet, what site?
Thanks and GOOD LUCK!!!
